Indiana health systems members save critical resources

Indiana Members in CapitolSEIU Healthcare members who work at Methodist Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center traveled to Indianapolis to protect our state's hospitals. Senate Bill 294 would have allowed wealthier hospitals to take funding designated for community hospitals we know working families depend on. We told our stories and made it clear that letting the bill pass would hurt the people we care for—those who need quality, affordable healthcare most. Legislators heard our call and the bill was defeated. This is a major victory in our fight to ensure quality healthcare for all Hoosier families.
