It takes political action to win the changes we want to see in our work and our
communities. This November is an exciting opportunity for us to put one of our
very own legislators into our nation’s highest office – a leader who has stood
with working families in Springfield and the U.S. Senate.
After months of us knocking on doors, making phone calls and spreading the word to
voters during the primary season, Senator Barack Obama has emerged as the Democratic nomination for president. Our hard work paid off, but the real fight is just beginning.
We’re putting together a team of health care, long-term care and child care providers who are dedicated to the fight for working families and eager to see Obama in the White House.
By forming the Action for Change Team (ACT) we can ramp up our efforts and make sure we’re actively using our political power to put leaders who represent working families in the decision-making seats of our local, state and national government.
